Crazy weeks!

I have no idea where January has gone! Tom is still poorly, we thought it was his Gallstones but it's looking less likely as his main pain is on the wrong side. He is off for an endoscopy (camera down throat thing) this afternoon and for a CT scan on Tuesday. I really pray this will shed some light on why he is feeling so awful.
My photography is taking off at the moment and am meeting my business friend on tuesday to work out my business plan. I am also taking photos of my friends and their family tomorrow, however with the snow that's forecast I hope they can get here!
We have had a real experience of community and church over the last week. At school gates a lady who I've got to know came and asked me if I needed a lift when it was chucking down with rain. That was a really nice thing and just showed how community and helping each other out should work. At church people have rallied around and have provided us with meals for the last week, and that's what church is for, supporting each other and community. We do all believe the same thing but meeting up at church is about supporting each other in our faith and through all our trials and joys of this life. We have felt so supported and loved even though Tom is still poorly it has felt a lot easier to get through.

This year is confusing me!

Well, I started out this year thinking that I would get a bit of photography practice, carry on with pampered chef and Tom would be back at work. So far, I seem to have made a name for myself in photography and have my first client in for a chat this weekend, pampered chef hasn't really restarted this year as I can't leave tom to but boys to bed, so that has had to go on the back burner a bit. And Tom is still not back at work, I must admit to feeling totally confused!
Tom finally sees the specialist tomorrow morning, after much nagging and pushing and phone calls! Hopefully he will then have more of an action plan, which will be more settling.
I have had the car because he has been off, which has meant that I have managed to fit a great deal more into the day. I am still continuing with my bible in a year plan, usually I give up in Genesis, but I am now in Job (chronologically) so I'm doing well so far!
I hope you are all having a good and less confusing January, although we all start the year with good intentions that soon get blown away and throw us into reorganising.

Frustration

Well, Tom has gone for his scan and we now awaiting confirmation and results. Would be nice to know where we go from here as he is signed off till next Friday. He is still in lots of pain and is eating less and less. I pray it will be sorted soon.

We are watching Battlestar Galactica together. Tom is getting frustrated that I keep guessing what's coming next, but at least it is taking his mind off his pain!

Had a fab day today with my mum on our trip to Ikea, had a great chat and was lovely to catch up after the madness that is Christmas. My lovely friend Rachel came and visited us with her little boy Jed and the boys had a fab time playing together and the mummys had a great chat, she has been such a rock in the past couple of months. Then had a surprise visit from my dad on his way back home up the M6, he managed to get to see Jack swimming which was lovely.

Getting lots of requests to take pictures for people so I am happy that I'm in demand and looking forward to getting lots of practise. I just need Tom to be well and then I can start!

Right, got to go downstairs and do all the washing up and the jobs that need doing.

brill day!

Even though Tom is still poorly, I managed to get him out of the house for a quick walk in the local park and we took the boys to the swings. I think it has taken it out of him a bit, however I'm hoping that at least he has had some air and may feel a bit better in his mind!
I did my first photo shoot in my new studio today, which was very exciting! It was a maternity shoot so I didn't really want to put it off as things can all happen quite quickly and I didn't want them missing out, so we held it whilst Luke was asleep so Tom just had to look after Jack. They were a brilliant couple and it was lovely to get to know them a bit, I think that they were impressed with my beeping lights! We did a number of shots and am just looking at them now and waiting for them to be processed for final editing, very exciting.
I have a pampered chef evening tonight, so I'm looking forward to getting out and doing something different for a bit. I think that this month is going to be a bit of a wash out with regards to PC as I have got to concentrate on getting Tom better and I'm having to do most of the stuff with the boys. Anyway, I aim to be back on it in February so if you want to host a party just let me know.

New year and resolutions

Well, 2012 is definitely proving interesting! Tom is still very poorly with his gallstones bothering him, he's hardly eating apart from lettuce and pasta. Quite worrying and frustrating at the same time. Hopefully he will be feeling better soon or he will be fixed soon!
Another issue has arisen which has challenged me, yet it has also affirmed and strengthened my faith. My new years resolutions aren't of losing weight or gaining more assets or earning more money, but of reading more from the bible and applying His word more to my everyday life. I have got an app on my phone that is the entire bible, it has reading plans that you can use and that remind you to read, which I find particularly helpful as am quite forgetful sometimes! I am following a bible through the year and some other shorter ones, and have been amazed at how relevant His word is to situations today.
Jack's current favourite song at church goes like this:

Now I'm definitely not saying that we are perfect but it's a great thing to aspire to and as a new year begins we can keep trying to bring Jesus more into our lives to remember why he was born and died and what we celebrated at Christmas.

Lovely day

What a fabulous start to 2012. We took the tree down last night and had a major sort out of downstairs, which we have been meaning to do since we moved in! Although I miss the tree I do like having the living room back to normal.
Today we had a play on the wii for a bit and then my friend Jane from school and her hubby visited us, just after they left Tom's parents stopped by. Then, in the afternoon we had my friend Gillian, again from school, and her hubby and daughter came round! We've had a very full day but it has been so nice to see everyone and to hear what everyone has been up to!
Back to normality with a bump tomorrow as the car is going to the garage to be fixed and Tom is concentrating on work! Oh well, it had to happen!

Well, I have got my new portable studio equiptment and I am looking forward to taking more photos next year. I am making a resolution to take more photos on a day to day basis and I am planning a 365 project starting on 1st of January!
In the meantime I have posted up my studio shots that I have done in the past couple of years with out equiptment, just natural light and a black or white sheet. I aim to become more professional over the year and hoping to earn a little money from it eventually.

Festivities!

Wow what a brilliant Christmas! We started off the celebrations by going to our church crib service at 4pm on Christmas eve, this was a lovely service showing how we should accept God's wonderful gift to us, Jesus. Then we went home and had a lovely ham dinner. The boys went to bed with their stockings hung on the door and Tom and I got all the presents under the tree and in their stockings! Sooo exciting!!
The next morning jack arose at 7:30 as per usual for a wee, he went to toilet without even noticing the stocking, but on returning to his room he saw it and emitted a high yelp and we were greeted with a very bouncy boy! We opened all our stockings in bed together with a brew then told the boys that was it and no more pressies and let's go downstairs for a lovely brekkie. Jack's eyes nearly burst out when he saw all the pressies under the tree! We had a lovely proper breakfast with smoked salmon and eggs and bacon and pancakes then opened all our pressies from everyone. We then went over to my parents for Christmas lunch and saw all my brothers and sister. We slept over and then saw my aunt, uncle and cousins on boxing day.
After we got back we spent Tuesday opening more presents! I must say normality is returning and our car is making funny noises so that will be going to get fixed next week.

Brilliant start to the festive season!

We've been away for the start of the holidays! We went down to see Tom's family and to celebrate Tom's sister Caroline's 30th birthday. We had a brilliant time and the boys stayed with their grandparents in Sutton whilst Tom and I headed down to Cheltenham with sister Rachel and friend Tim. We then had a very fun evening involving a panto theme which included visits from the goat of Christmas past, the Git of Christmas present and the ghost of Christmas fuchsia! Lots of fun and hilarity ensued and Tom became Simon Cowell for a bit..... I also had a G&T and a very blue cocktail before going back to my preferred drink.....Tea!
The next day we all headed off to Slimbridge Wetlands Centre to go and have a look at ducks and other wildfowl which is Caroline's favourite place in the world. Jack and Luke had fun seeing all the ducks and Luke did a very good impression of them quacking, but only on his own terms, we could not get him to do it on request!!!! We then headed back up to Sutton for a couple of days and had a very relaxing time with Grannie and Grandad enjoying having the boys and taking them to show people. It felt so festive and so relaxing that now I feel in the mood for Christmas having had a couple of months of feeling downright rotten, I feel cheered up and festive!

Time flies waaay too fast

Well, what a crazy week! I did a pampered chef event at our local cafe, which unfortunately didn't have lots of people come to. However, I did get to do practise of ready steady cook and I met the people who have moved into our old street! Life in Leyland is so interconnected, everyone knows everyone else!
I have been attempting to make the stockings but have not succeeded as yet, I now do have all the bits however, as I started off with only half the stuff to complete them! So my mission is to complete them by Tuesday!! Hmmmm!
We put up all our Christmas decorations this weekend, including 2 Christmas trees!! 1 real one in the lounge and one we had up in the loft from last year which we have put in the dining room (just because we could!!!) To be honest I don't feel ready for Christmas at all, it always creeps up on me so now am in a mega panic to get all my Xmas cards out, even though I have been thinking about it for months!
I had better get back to arranging our Growth Group Christmas social for Tuesday, cooking Lancashire Hotpot for 10, am excited!!

Sitting on the stairs!

Currently sat on the stairs watching jack and Luke playing! Luke has been engrossed for the last 10 minutes with a shape sorter, not at putting the shapes in but in attempting to dismantle it!! Eeee they are funny things babies!
Tom is on strike today, pottering round the house doing bits n bobs! I am on my endless cleaning the house job, which as soon as I sit down is ready to be done all over again!
Had better get on with it as I've sat down and it's all messy again!!!!!

Swimming!

Aww Jack LOVED his swimming lesson today! He went to the local hotel, at the bottom of our road, and he was in a class of 3 with the teacher in the water. He thrived on the attention and the concentrated teaching, and swam without armbands for the first time! Such a proud mummy!
I am planning on a post that will address some of the challenges I have had to my faith, but for now I shall leave you wondering!
Now NO more writing today as I am going to go and do the template for the stockings!

Bible Overview

Well, what a great start! We got so into the activities and engrossed in His word, that we only managed to complete half of what was planned for the first study! Katherine did a fantastic job and was able to answer questions which we had, and it was amazing to see that, even from the first book in the Bible, God points to Jesus and His amazing rescue plan! I'm truly excited to study the Bible, and the more I do, the more I am convinced of it's truth.

I am determined to start sewing our christmas stockings tomorrow, as I have the fabric and I really need to get on with it otherwise Christmas will be upon us and I won't have had time! I also have realised that I have still got some xmas shopping to do, which I had thought I had bought more than I actually have! Oh well, still got a month!

Jack starts swimming lessons tomorrow, I am looking forward to him going and gaining confidence. I am slightly concerned about Luke and swimming as he has such bad skin, so I am going to chat to the docs and see what they advise.

Tom has been working his lil socks off this week, he has tons of reports to write and marking to do and he only has a 3 day week next week due to the strike and an odd Inset day!

Its already been a week!

Crikey, I thought I had just posted a new post a couple of days ago, but it has already been a week! I must improve! Anyway, news.... I have had the car for the week again, which has been lovely, I managed a trip to Preston to get a new waterproof coat, seeing as mine has officially died! I have also been busy booking things in with the Pampered Chef, so that is taking off, which is nice to know. I am very sad to say that I have had no time to do any crafting, so my plan this week is to try and get sewing again, as I now have several Christmas projects to complete.
Today we went off to a garden centre to admire the chitty chitty bang bang display, which Jack was in awe of, we then went off to have a lovely meal in a country pub, then headed to parents for a brew, and have just arrived back. We went to a barn dance at church yesterday which was fantastic, we took the boys with us, Luke was happy to be handed around to the various non dancers, whilst Jack joined in very enthusiastically with the dancing. It was a top night, and one which I hope to be repeated (Dave, if your reading this its a hint...!!!) Anyway, must go as Tom wants the computer for listing on EBay, Oh what a exotic life we lead!!!!

I cannot believe yet another week has gone by! I have thoroughly enjoyed having the car and I have her for another week, woop! I did my second Pampered chef show yesterday which went very well, I have such fun doing it, and I earn a little bit of money to keep us going, it feels good. I have now done my tesco shop and found a new menu planner on there, which I have used for the first time, I may only do it partially in the future but I thought that for the moment I will go the whole way and so we have new recipes this week! I have had some sad news that one of my friends from church has had to leave, I will miss her, I just hope that we can keep in touch. Now, off downstairs to sit by the fire, sup G&T and watch strictly! Woop!

Having the use of a car

Wow, I have had the use of a car for this week and what a difference it makes! I can actually get things fitted into a day! Managed to visit a few friends who I haven't had the luxury of visiting with the time constraints of school and activities. I have also managed to get back from toddler group and Women's bible study in the matter of minutes which has meant that Luke sleeps, I get lunch and then manage to get jobs done! Today I visited a friend in Blackburn, which on the bus takes me 45 minutes and that means only can be there for a little time, in the car it took me 10, fabulous! But, all good things come to an end and I may have to hand over the car to my brother at the weekend if his car isn't fixed. All I can say is how much fun it has been!

Intro NUMBER 2!

I have made an active decision to take myself out of my comfort zone of Facebook and to attempt to blog and reach the world through the medium of BLOGGING! I am intending to blog more about our family life on here and to keep people informed of our activities. Facebook has become a slight addiction for me and so am going to try and not check it so frequently and if I feel the urge to check it I will be getting out my knitting!

Right a brief history of us!
I am a stay at home mum, after briefly having an short career as a buyer for a bathroom company. I am a scrapbooker, knitter, and sewing fanatic, and my current obsession is the making of handbags! I am also starting to think about a career in photography as its one of my all time passions, that only now am able to get to grips with. I am roping anyone and everyone in to be my models at the moment! I am a committed Christian, having been away from God for a long time, Jack came along and we came back to church and through Christianity Explored I found out what this life is really all about.
Tom is a Physics teacher, after completing his degree and masters in Ecology/Biological diversity and not managing to get a job in that area despite trying! He started retraining in January 2007, and is now working up north in Ormskirk, teaching secondary school Physics. He enjoys it mainly, the teaching bit is fine, the marking bit is RUBBISH!!!!

Tom and I met at Plymouth University. We have been together now for over 9 years. We met in the delightful Welbeck Avenue house (those who saw this house will know that in no way was it delightful!). We married in March 2007 and our son Jack arrived in June 2007, we were living in Bristol at the time but have now moved North to Leyland. I would say we are as strong as ever and

Jack, full name Jack Tobias De Winton Denning, was a happy surprise to us, thanks to God. He is now 2 which I cannot believe! He is a very happy, sociable chap who brings sunshine into everyones lives that he meets as he always puts a smile on peoples faces. He is a right little chatterbox, mainly about trains and about making Daddy go to the park! We are so lucky to have him, I sometimes look at him in bed and just go all goosebumpy inside that we have been given this wonderful little boy to nurture. He is now 4 and is crazy about cars and space. He has also started to learn to read, which is a fun experience!

ADDITON!
We now have been given the gift of another beautiful little boy! His name is Luke James Christopher Denning (well we couldn't very well have another boy and give them a shorter name to write, that'd be unfair!!) He is now 1 (and a bit) and he is very fast at crawling and a very clever and cunning climber, he can scale most things in the matter of seconds!
Right that is brief(ish) history of us. Hope that I can keep this up as is quite fun!

More news from a friend announcing she is pregnant, just heard today and am very excited for her! All these babies, we must be at prime breeding age!!!
Anyhow, my news..... ILLNESS again! Tom had a cold which had him off work for second half of last week and Jack has had a bug which made him be sick on Monday morning. We therefore have had Monday and Tuesday being very quiet days, then today we went to Women's Bible Study in morning and then did painting in the afternoon, Jacks artwork is still drying.
We are off to our first Growth Group this evening which is another Bible Study, this Tom can come along to so we are both going and Jack is coming to sleep at their house. It is held at Anna, James, Lara and Baby Martha's house so we know them quite well and Jack's quite enthralled by Martha!
My Little bro left for Loughbrough uni a couple of weeks ago so am missing him as he would always be at home when we used to visit, but now we are limited to the Christmas/Easter/summer visits. But I guess they do have to grow up, my little sister is off next year so am also going to have to toughen up!
Have got into doing some digi-scrappin recently which has been quite fun, though not as fun as using glue and scissors!!
Right better go before Jack destroys downstairs!

Crikey, its been a while!

4 weeks since last blog, oh dear! Well updates.... We have MOVED! We are in our beautiful new house, and we feel so settled here and love the fact that it has so much more character than the other house. We feel that it is our home already! The house is lots closer to town so makes it easy to walk to everywhere.

Tom's back is lots better, and he was able to go to work (which he was quite dissapointed with!) He is going to have a weak back forever now, so needs to strengthen it up with all the exercises, but overall is feeling a lot better. He has gone back to work and overall enjoys the teaching but definately not relishing the marking!!!

I have been getting back into all our usual activities, which involves mainly running around after Jack! Our regular activities include on a tuesday going to playgroup in the morning and then having an hour for lunch then heading off to toddler group! I was unciertain about how we would cope without the midday nap and with only a little bit of lunch time. However, we coped really well and it looks like it is going to be a really good day!

Jack has settled well into the new house, and he loves being 3 doors down from his friend Jed (well I am also enjoying being 3 doors down from my friend Rachael!). Jack is being relatively good at the moment, but does have his odd 'blip' which we are coping with at the moment, terrible twos are definately not an invention!

I went to the scrapbook crop that I organise this sunday. Had a lovely time, and managed to complete 4 scrapbook pages, which was unshure would manage to do as I had no idea of what would do and just took lots of stuff and no clue! The ladies at the crop are all wonderful, we had a new member who enjoyed herself and is coming back to the next one, so we are slowly growing in number.

Oh and STRICTLY COME DANCING is on again! Am writing this blog whilst half watching strictly on iPlayer, what a brilliant invention! I love dancing, just wish could do it myself, or at least manage to get Tom onto the dance floor!!!!!!!

And Another brilliant excitement coming up is the wedding of Tom's sister Caroline, to Steve. I am soooooo very excited about the day, not only because of the marriage between two lovely people, but also because Jack is to be a page boy!
Oh well that is enough for me today, will try and update you more often.

Packing and stuff

Another week full of madness! We set off from Padstow on wednesday morning, a lot later than planned due to our reliable human alarm clock, Jack waking us up at 8.30am rather than the usual 6.30/7am. We visited Dawlish and Tom's Great Aunt and Uncle (Jack's Great Great Aunt and Uncle!) it was lovely to see them even if they are a bit frail now. Then we progressed upwards and managed to see my friend Nat again and have a final catch up and natter, I only wish they would move north too...... After that we drove northwards to Stratford where we stayed with my Grannie, she made us some fab spaghetti bolognese and we had a lovely evening and morning with her. Jack charmed her as he usually does, then my parents visited Grannie on their way down to Heathrow (flying to Egypt!). Even more traveling came next, we headed southwards to Stroud to see Big Matt and Claire and their 2 little ones Charlotte and John. We managed to stay there for an hour as we were running very late again and we needed to head across to Cheltenham where we stayed with Tom's sister Caroline and her Fiancé Steve. We had another great evening in which we caught up with the latest wedding planning news and Tom and Steve stayed up till 2am chatting! They have very kindly asked Jack to be a page boy, so apart from Caroline and Steves parents, we will be proud parents as the wedding procession occurs!
We FINALLY headed northwards on friday and arrived home at 5pm(ish). However, the long car journey had put Tom's back out and from then onwards he has been unable to move properly which has been horrid for him and we are hoping that a trip to an osteopath today is going to help sort him out.
On Sunday I headed to my scrapbook crop, with my 2 friends Rachael and Rachel. It was a busy day as there were 13 people attending! Tom's parents very kindly came over and looked after the boys and then cooked dinner for us, which was lovely.
So this week has been filled with packing up the house, and am totally grateful to my friend Rachael who has come over and helped me to pack up, in the absence of Tom being able to do anything. Now I had better go and do something usefull!

Well that was good

Well, in one day we broke a pair of sunglasses, a train and a laptop. I managed to drop the laptop in very unspectacular form and discovered that the screen had cracked so we could no olonger do anything on it. At least we can get the information off it and it is still under warrenty so we dont have to pay for new screen. PHEW!
Anyway, after that we have had a good week! Our friends,Lindsey, Ben and Tom came down to Padstow for a hloliday with us. We have been to the beach a couple of times, have been on tne local tourist boat to see the bacy and to maybe see some basking sharks though all we saw were cormorants! We have also had a BBQ today which was lovely and the boys have been out for several trips to the park. We are as yet to have a stein's fish and chips but are saving that for monday. The little boys, Jack and Tom have had a fantastic time playing trains and building sandcastles and us mummies have had a great time chatting and relaxing whilst the daddies have been building sand boats and channels for water and playing footie and reading newspapers.
Am so glad that the weather has been awesome and that we have been able to enjoy the sun rather than being stuck in whilst it pours with rain outside which has been our past 2 holidays. Ben has been great and has cooked for us for a couple of nights which we have returned with cooking for them and it is my night tonight so am off to cook Zac's aztec soup!

Carnivals and illness

Well, what a week! We saw Jack's Great Grandad on friday after visiting his Uncle Peter's work place where he has tractors! We then left for Bristol on saturday afternoon. We stayed with our friends Lindsey, Ben and Tom. I did the Christianity explored course with Lindsey and Carrie, who has moved over to america, and I miss these ladies so much, both spiritually and personally they are truely God given friends. Anyhow, we went to church on sunday where we saw lots of other friends from there, we went out for sunday lunch, then the boys went off to ashton court for a festival that was on. Lindsey and I went off back to her house, where we sat and drank tea, it was a wise move as when the boys arrived back they were absolutly soaked from head to toe, by the rain, and needed towels and hot chocolates! The rest of the week was spent visiting and meeting up with friends we hadnt seen for ages(Carla, Cassy, Wendy, Andrea) and a wagamama meal on wednesday night, even if I ate mine back at Lindseys whilst Tom and his friend Matt ate it in wagamamas as I was starting to feel rubbish.

The next day started off rainy and horrible, we were journeying down to see my best friend from uni, Nat, and her husband Dave and their beautiful children, Lyra and Logan. As we travelled down the motorway the weather got better and better. Once we arrived, the sun came out and shone for the rest of the day. It was wonderful to spend time with Nat who looks so great after the birth of Logan, we managed to get a whole day in which to catch up and have hugs, which we must somehow manage to do at least once a year and hopefully see each other a bit more. We looked after Lyra whilst Nat took Dave to an interview, Lyra is such a clever little girl, she is 2 1/2 going on 7! I also took photos for them and am really chuffed with how they have turned out!

We then travelled down to cornwall at 8pm, which took us 2 1/2 hours, but Jack slept the whole way and settled well when we arrived. The next day was spent catching up with washing and buying toothbrushes and eating pasties and walking round and round the harbour looking at boats. The next night was not so good, Jack got my cold which meant I was awake the whole night with him wheezing and sleeping on me whilst i sat propped up with cushions and Tom tossed and turned in bed next to me, so I slept in until 11am. Then the boys had a nap and Tom woke up with my cold, so this afternoon I went out with Jack and looked at boats and did jobs. Then this evening, the padstow carnival passed by the house and Jack loved watching the tractors, fire engines and steam rollers, oh and the hungry caterpillar and butterfly!

Now am shattered! Am going to bed! More updates soon.

Busy day!

Well this day has been a non stop day really. We went to a coffee morning with my friend Rachael and Jacks little friend Jed. It was to raise money for Rainbow house which is a nursery for disabled children, a worthwhile cause. Also there was a man there who made wooden rocking horses, and we are thinking of getting one for Jack for christmas as they are beautiful!
Then, we came back home, had lunch and then straight off to toddler group, it is always lovely catching up with mummy friends and I managed to order my Organised Mum diary with my friend who is a trader with them so hopefully will have my brand new diary waiting for me when I get home. Am so excited! My friend Lisa, who takes me and Jack to the group in her car, then took us on our regular weekly shop to the local butcher and farm shop, in which I bought a Lime.... Am trying to use all the freezer food before we move!
We then got back home, sat down to watch Thomas the tank and then Tom came back from work. He then chopped up all peppers and chicken for our dinner (chicken fajitas) which we then took round to our friends Anna and James who have just had another little one, and Tom cooked for them. We had lovely Elderflower champagne, bathed Jack and Lara, and I had lots of cuddles with Baby Martha. Then finally got back home at 9.15!!!!! Right I really have to go and tidy as am looking after Jed tomorrow whilst his mummy goes to docs!! Phew what a mad day!

Scrapbook Crop

Well after a miserable day yesterday where I was laid up in bed for the day with a migraine, today was brilliant! I went along to the Whittle-le-woods scrapbook crop that I have started up. It is always a fab day, with all us women gathering for 6 hours of solid scrapbooking. We all meet up at 10 and bring our stuff and spend the day, chatting, drinking tea, eating cakes and eating fab lunches and doing scrappin in between. I completed a birthday book which I hope will help me to remember peoples birthdays as am constantly forgetting them and feeling guilty, would love to be able to send cards on time!
I am panicking slightly over this move as feel completely unprepared, but hope that can start to pack this week which will make me feel better. Am going to have a day blitzing the housework tomorrow which always gets me feeling better.
Jack pretended to be on a horse today which had Tom and I in stitches as he 'galloped' on his chair!
Oh and found out that one of my dear friends is pregnant again, which has made me so happy, but yet sad as cannot share it with her as she is so far away.

I have made an active decision to take myself out of my comfort zone of Facebook and to attempt to blog and reach the world through the medium of BLOGGING! I am intending to blog more about our family life on here and to keep people informed of our activities. Facebook has become a slight addiction for me and so am going to try and not check it so frequently and if I feel the urge to check it I will be getting out my knitting!

Right a brief history of us!
I am a stay at home mum, after briefly having an short career as a buyer for a bathroom company. I am a scrapbooker, knitter, and sewing fanatic, and my current obsession is the making of handbags! I am also starting to think about a career in photography as its one of my all time passions, that only now am able to get to grips with. I am roping anyone and everyone in to be my models at the moment! I am a committed Christian, having been away from God for a long time, Jack came along and we came back to church and through Christianity Explored I found out what this life is really all about.
Tom is a Physics teacher, after completing his degree and masters in Ecology/Biological diversity and not managing to get a job in that area despite trying! He started retraining in January 2007, and is now working up north in Ormskirk, teaching secondary school Physics. He enjoys it mainly, the teaching bit is fine, the marking bit is RUBBISH!!!!

Tom and I met at Plymouth University. We have been together now for nearly 7 years. We met in the delightful Welbeck Avenue house (those who saw this house will know that in no way was it delightful!). We married in March 2007 and our son Jack arrived in June 2007, we were living in Bristol at the time but have now moved North to Leyland. I would say we are as strong as ever and

Jack, full name Jack Tobias De Winton Denning, was a happy surprise to us, thanks to God. He is now 2 which I cannot believe! He is a very happy, sociable chap who brings sunshine into everyones lives that he meets as he always puts a smile on peoples faces. He is a right little chatterbox, mainly about trains and about making Daddy go to the park! We are so lucky to have him, I sometimes look at him in bed and just go all goosebumpy inside that we have been given this wonderful little boy to nurture. He is now 4 and is crazy about cars and space. He has also started to learn to read, which is a fun experience!

ADDITON!
We now have been given the gift of another beautiful little boy! His name is Luke James Christopher Denning (well we couldn't very well have another boy and give them a shorter name to write, that'd be unfair!!) He is now 1 (and a bit) and he is very fast at crawling and a very clever and cunning climber, he can scale most things in the matter of seconds!
Right that is brief(ish) history of us. Hope that I can keep this up as is quite fun!
